A Rose is a Rose is a Rose

These roses were on their way to the trash bin…

Early in July I came across about twenty rose bush seedlings that were headed for the trash bin.Roses-1

If I didn’t buy them on the spot, they would have ended up in the dumpster. Not being a dumpster-diver, I paid the $1 per plant. $20 bucks in all. These are shots of these “trash bin roses” from the time they started to bud, and up the first full blooms. It’s amazing what a little TLC can do.

These are the first yellow roses to open out of the “rescued roses”
